Oakridge’s C.A.R.E. Group is intentional about being the hands and feet of Jesus, both inside and outside the walls of our church building.
Love, care and support comes in various forms. Not everyone requires a casserole; some may need a ride to an appointment, child care, or a home visit. Others may need someone to listen, or perhaps go bowling with, or even help with the household chores.
Our economy has brought strains on our families and individuals that are, at times, too hard to endure. We provide a short term solution to their crisis and, if further help is needed, the elders are notified with C.A.R.E. recommendations.
Together we strive to provide a balance of care within our community–every case is unique and we move forward in grace. We desire to love deeply as the Word of God instructs us to do in the book of Acts.
Examples of C.A.R.E.:
- Prayer and encouragement
- Meals / Baked goods
- Visits and telephone calls
- Financial support (monies, gift cards, transportation passes, grocery gift cards and groceries)
